The Kenmore Rugby Club is proud to announce that Andrew Pluff has been named head coach of our high school teams. Andy will serve as the head coach for the high school boys, and as interim head coach for the high school girls.

Andy began his rugby career with Kenmore, serving as co-captain of the original Kenmore West boys team in 2004 and 2005. After playing at the University at Buffalo, he then joined the Kenmore coaching staff as an assistant coach, while continuing his playing career with Lockport. From 2008 to 2009 Andy also coached the Lockport club.
"Coming back to where it all started for me feels incredibly special, like coming home. Rugby has been a huge part of my life, and I’ve spent years learning from the game and the people around it. I’m excited to share that experience with the next generation of players and help introduce new athletes to a sport that has given me so much. To have the opportunity to lead this club is both humbling and a privilege, and I’m looking forward to what we can build together." - Andy Pluff, Head Coach of High School Rugby
In 2010 Andy left both Kenmore and Lockport, joining Buffalo State Men's Rugby as an assistant coach, holding the role until 2014. In 2011 he helped found the Ken-Ton Misfits, where he has served as a player, coach, and president over the years.
"Bringing in Andy, someone who's been active as a coach and a player for years, is a big win. This is someone who's been around the game and seen it at several different levels. Having been a part of Kenmore as a player, coach, and parent, Andy is someone who understands the club's vision and is eager to help us execute it." - John Bressette, Interim Director of Rugby
