For the first time in our history, the Kenmore Rugby Club will be offering rugby for all of our teams together at the same time this fall. Youth & Flag, Middle School, and High School, boys and girls will all train together with the Kenmore Rugby coaching staff.
Sessions will be on Saturday mornings at 10am to 11:30 at Ken-Ton Elmwood Commons, 3200 Elmwood Ave. beginning September 17th thru October 29th.
Our goals are to begin recruiting for girls and boys high school sides this fall, and for the high school teams to travel to New York City to play in the New York 7’s tournament on November 26th. ALL players will need to be registered whether they are just training or if they are planning on playing in the New York 7’s.
Fall 2022 Registration Details
Registration for all age groups will open on Friday, September 2nd at https://xplorer.rugby/kenmore-rugby
Players ages 4-7 will register for Rookie Rugby
Flag players ages 8-14 will register for Flag Rugby
Middle School (tackle) players ages 11-14 will register for Youth
High School (tackle) players ages 14-18 will register for High School Fall
Youth and High School registrations include a “training only” role. Players using this option will be registered to practice but will not be able to play in any matches. This option can be upgraded to player.
All Fall registrations will be for the Fall 2022 Season Only. Registrations can be upgraded later for the Spring 15’s season.
Rookie and Flag rugby registration is $50.
Middle School and High School registration is $75.
Training only registrations are $25.
All registrations include registration with USA Rugby.
Fall 7’s Details
High school sessions will take place simultaneously with youth flag programs, contingent on numbers
All interested players are welcome, regardless of previous experience or availability for New York 7s. BRING YOUR FRIENDS!
HS girls & boys players are welcome to attend all fall flag rugby sessions beginning 9/17
7s training will begin 10/1 and continue through 10/29
Additional training sessions will be added to the calendar if there is enough interest in attending New York 7s (see below)
Registration with fall 7s (see website) will cover a portion of your spring dues/registration fees
New York 7’s Tournament
We need a minimum of 10 players per side (boys and girls) to register for the tournament
The tournament will take place on Saturday, November 26th, the weekend after Thanksgiving, at Randall’s Island in New York City.
Team will provide transportation (departing 11/25, returning 11/27) and a portion of accomodations
Cost per player will depend on number of total players interested
The tournament will be open to all high school girls and boys players, regardless of previous experience
Parents and families are welcome to join us on the trip, but will be responsible for their own accommodations. Players will be expected to stay with the team.
