Kenmore Rugby HS teams open season at Corning

Kenmore Rugby Club's high school teams began their regular season this past Sunday on the road with matches against Corning. The boys won their 15s matchup 35-22, while the girls dropped their 7s matches by scores of 52-5 and 17-10.

The boys were paced by a hat trick of tries from James McNeil Jr. Avery Vogt and Nick Cash also scored tries, and Vogt was a perfect 5 for 5 on conversions. The girls lone try in game one came courtesy of Emma McNabb. In the second game, Lizzie Dugan broke out for two tries.

"It was a great start to our season, Corning has been one of the top teams in our league the past few years so it was nice to get this one under our belts. Looking forward to next week against Grand Island." - Kenmore Rugby Boys Head Coach Mackenzie Doolittle

The season continues this weekend as the boys try to keep their momentum against Grand Island while the girls look to bounce back against City Honors.
