Middle School Rugby is back!
Updated: Mar 17
The Kenmore Rugby Club is excited for another season of Middle School Rugby!
This season is particularly special. For the first time in our club’s history, we will be fielding a middle school girls team, alongside the boys! Our Middle School Rugby program is open to boys and girls in grades 6-8, with no prior experience necessary.
Practices Middle School Rugby practices start on April 4th and will be held every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 4-6 pm at Lindbergh Elementary, 184 Irving Terr. in Kenmore. Practices will continue into early June.
Boys and Girls teams will compete against other middle school sides from Upstate NY in a weekly tournament style competition beginning on April 30th at Fairport. Other tournament dates include May 7th at Kenmore, May 13th at Corning, May 20th at McQuaid Jesuit (Rochester) and June 3rd at Syracuse.
Registration Kenmore Rugby moved to a new registration platform called Rugby Xplorer in September of last year. The RX system uses a players age to determine what registration types are available. Registration age is determined as the age of the player at the end of the current USA Rugby season (August 31, 2023).
The cost for the Middle School season is $150. Players returning from fall rugby will only pay the difference between their fall registration and a full season registration. No player will pay more than the total of a full registration.
Registration is now open, visit our website www.kenmorerugbyclub.org to register.
To help parents & players get started using the new registration system, USA Youth & HS Rugby has posted video tutorials on how to create a profile and register with a club.

Founded in 2004, the Kenmore Rugby Club is WNY's oldest and largest youth & high school rugby club with over 100 active players in grades K-12.
