"I never lose. I either win or learn." -Nelson Mandela

Mia began her rugby career as freshman at SUNY Cortland as a member of the Peacefrog's Women's Rugby team and transferred home to Buffalo after an injury in her third season. Back in Buffalo, she became a member of North Buffalo Ninja Rugby, and then joined SUNY Buffalo State Women's Rugby.

After college, Mia remained a member of the Ninjas as a utility forward and was voted Forwards Captain in 2013 and continues to hold that position with honor. Most recently the Ninjas made club history by winning their D2 Women's Midwest Division this past Fall.

Mia joined the SUNY Buffalo State Women's Rugby staff as Head Coach in 2018. In 2018 Buffalo State won the Upstate NY Conference Championship and advanced to the Sweet Sixteen round of Playoffs. She looks forward to growing the club again now that the majority of covid-related obstacles have lessened.

Mia is also the Upstate D2 Women's Coordinator for the Upstate New York Collegiate Rugby Conference.

Mia always says that rugby gave her everything good in life that she did not already have, and is excited to share her love and knowledge of the sport with Kenmore Rugby Club.

Mia resides in Buffalo with her wife and their dog, Georgia. Georgia is named after the state where Mia got engaged - during the St. Patrick's Day Savannah Rugby Tournament!
